  • Food Market Assistant

    The Food Market Assistant supports Hope House’s food security program during the summer by working directly with clients, stocking shelves, coordinating volunteers, assisting with food procurement. This role requires strong organization, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Clothing Market Assistant

    The Clothing Market Assistant supports Hope House’s clothing market during the summer by working directly with clients, sorting and shelving donations, coordinating volunteers, and assisting with clothing procurement. They also help lead clothing drives. The market serves over 100 Guelph families each month.

  • Administrative Assistant

    The Administrative Assistant will gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of a not-for-profit organization, working across departments and performing a variety of tasks. This role offers broad exposure to the nonprofit sector and requires strong communication skills, basic knowledge of Word and Excel, and the ability to learn a contact management system.

  • Backpack Program Assistant

    The Backpack Project Assistant supports the city-wide Guelph Community Backpack Project, which provides backpacks filled with school supplies to students in need. This role involves coordinating with families, managing the recipient database, and helping ensure over 2,700 children are ready for school. It’s a hands-on opportunity to support local families, gain experience in poverty-reduction work.

  • Program Assistant

    The Program Assistant supports the delivery of Hope House’s support programs by applying social work knowledge and connecting community members to resources and services. Reporting to the Ongoing Support Worker, they help implement day-to-day programming and collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth facilitation and strong community engagement.
