Hope House is part of Guelph’s system of services for community members living in poverty. Our distinctiveness and strength lie in our ability to act as a community hub for those experiencing poverty. Through our programs and close partnerships with like-minded organizations we address the five dimensions of well-being: physical, spiritual, emotional, relational, and financial. A person or family can experience poverty in any of these areas.

Our mission is to increase the well-being of vulnerable adults, youth and children through the provision of immediate relief and ongoing support. All our programs and services are delivered in support of our vision and mission while living out our values of dignity, belonging, and empowerment.

Hope House is located in the Guelph downtown core at 10 Cork Street East, which enables us to meet  many of the city’s needs. With 30,000 square feet of usable space, our facilities include a gymnasium, an auditorium, café, two kitchens, offices and meeting rooms. An accessible entrance and elevator are located on our Church Lane entrance.

Serving as a volunteer a Board member with Hope House will provide you with the opportunity to play an integral role in ensuring that we continue to meet the needs of our Hope House community. As a Board member, you will be able to use your skills and previous experience to complement our team of skilled professionals.

Hope House is committed to equity and diversity and welcomes applications from racially visible individuals, people with disabilities, Indigenous peoples, and LGBTW2S+ persons. We are committed to creating a barrier-free environment, accessible organization, and will work to accommodate any needs under the Accessibility for Ontario Disabilities Act, and the Ontario human Rights Code.

We are not currently accepting applications.
